Bride

Groom

Bride and Groom
Designated photo helper:
It's often super helpful if you can nominate an family member/friend/bridesmaid to help arrange and corral the people for the above photos and to help keep things as smooth and quick as possible on the day.
Ideally someone in the bride/grooms party who knows most of the key people and someone happy to shout and bring people together!
Often I'll reach out to them before the wedding to say hello and make sure they've got a copy of a list of the images we need.
If you could list the ideal candidate here and also their phone numbers - that would be great!

I highly recommend setting aside plenty of time for bridal, groom and family photography prior to the ceremony.
This starts the story and starts the photography when everyone is looking their very best and full of emotion before the day’s events begin.
I recommend at least 15 mins for bridal photography and 10 mins for the groom.

When I arrive to the bride getting ready location if it is not at the actual Wedding Location,
Ideally, hair and makeup should be just about wrapping up when I arrive leaving about 20-30 minutes for detail shots (makeup and hair touch ups) before the wedding dress is put on.
This will leave a good 20-30mins for  me to go right into Detail shots at the Wedding Venue when we arrive.
I typically start the day with the Bridal details, such as:
Brides Dress, Veil, Shoes,  Bouquet, Something Old Something New, Borrowed and Something Blue, any Special Jewelry, Garter.
His and Her Rings, His Cuff links, Tie,/Bow Tie, Shoes, Watch.
I normally ask for this all to be in one location at the very beginning of the day so I can get to work.

Once Details are complete, I move into some fun shots of the Bridesmaids and the Bride before she puts on her dress. (I recommend all bridesmaids to be complete in hair and make up and ready to put on their dresses after this)
The Bride then will  be putting on her dress and all of her details. I always ask for bridesmaids to be putting on their dresses as the Maid or Matron of honor will help with some of the photos. The Mother of the Bride is asked as well to be dressed and present to help the Bride get into her dress and allow for some special memories to be captured.

After the Bride is complete in all details, I move to the Groomsmen in taking some shot of them getting ready in some detail shots as well as candids. The Groom at this time will also be gearing up for his own detail photos as he dresses as well as some group shots with his dad  (dressed) and best men.
Before I start the Grooms photos all will need to have boutonnieres on.
The Groom will have his photos done first and then I add in Groomsmen. I ask that the Grooms Mom and Dad be close to move into a couple of photos with their son before sending them off to a closed location to where I can start with the Bride.

Once the Groom and his men are tucked away, I grab the Bride for some Bridal shots and then add in the Ladies. (Ladies, please have your bouquets ready and in hand at this time.) I ask that the Brides Mom and Dad be close to move into a couple of photos with their daughter before sending them off.

This is normally how all of my Wedding Days start off. The rest is scheduled around what the couple has decided on doing with their
LOOK.

Have you considered doing a first look? A “first look” is when the bride and groom see each other prior to the wedding ceremony either privately or surrounded by family and friends. It is a wonderful time to capture some true moments of joy and emotion as well as allowing much of the portrait photography to be done prior to the ceremony. A lot of my wedding day couples say that it provides a time to calm nerves and to just reassure each other in love. They also mention having a moment to themselves in seeing each other allows for a different emotion and memory of the Bride walking down the aisle. This earlier moment in no way takes away the freezing of time when the Brides eyes lock with her groom and is walking down to say she's his forever in the ceremony.
This also allows you both to be freed up for your cocktail hour and reception.

Family formals are an important part of documenting your wedding day and are usually done either prior to the ceremony (in the event of a first look or reveal) or, more traditionally, done after the ceremony. I recommend completing the family formals prior to the ceremony when everyone is looking their best and are available otherwise immediately after the ceremony. After the ceremony is often a very chaotic time as your guest will be offering their congratulations and heading off to cocktail hour/reception.
If you wish to have your family formals done after the ceremony please inform your Family and Extended Family to be photographed that this is the plan and to hang back on location.

Other Family and Friends photos will be taken during the reception time.

Photos:
Obviously it is your day, and I will do my best to get all the photos you want, but keep in mind that even with the best ushering in the world it can still take 4-5 minutes to find and arrange a group of people for a photo - so try keep the numbers of shots small - no more than 5 or 6 is ideal.
Entire Wedding Agreement
This agreement contains the entire understanding between the Client and the Photographer.

Photographer Rights: It is understood that AllysonBrooke Photography (Photographer) is the exclusive, official photographer retained to perform photographic services requested on this contract. The Photographer reserves the right to use the negatives, RAW images, edited images and/or reproductions for advertising, display, publication, or other purposes, not restricted to use on the web, Facebook, business cards, or posters. No part of any order, including previews, will be delivered until the balance of the wedding is paid in FULL.
Payment for Prints and Digital Images are required in full at the time of placing the order.
Original RAW images are NOT provided to clients, only the work of the photographer in image edits will be delivered. The Photographer retains the right to edit the photographs and omit any images. It is understood by the client that the photographer will not deliver every exposure taken throughout the event. Client agrees to abide by the photographers editing decisions based upon her work style as shown throughout her wedding galleries and portfolio/website.

Client will receive photos on a digital download/USB Drive with print release for personal use. Digital download/USB Drive includes images for printing and may be used on the web, Facebook, social media or email, as long as photo credit is given in the comments or caption.
Client understands that when publishing photo on social media, website, etc., that images cannot and will not be edited in anyway other than what the original image is upon receiving it from the photographer.

Copyright, Reproductions and Model Release: The copyright of the photographs is retained by the photographer at all times, throughout the world. Where a digital download/USB Drive has been included for the clients as part of the wedding collection, these photographs will include a print release and may be printed, and or displayed online, for personal use. Commercial uses must be expressly approved in written form by the photographers and include citation.
The photographer retains the right to use the photographs for the purposes of advertising or otherwise promoting her work. Client agrees not to sell any of the files or prints without written permission from the photographer.
The client agrees to have themselves and others in their photographs pictured in such a way for this selected event.. The client agrees that they are signing a model release to allow the use of their photographs (of themselves) for the photographer's business purposes.

Notice of Copyright: It is ILLEGAL to copy or reproduce these photographs without the photographers permission, and violators of this Federal Law will be subject to its civil and criminal penalties. Photographer retains copyright to photographs. Printing and/or distribution rights granted as noted below.

Social Media: This clause applies to all social media, including Facebook, Instagram and blogs. When published online it is required that citation of the photographer be made. The client agrees that they will under no circumstances alter the photographer's photographs that are placed in public on the internet. As a photographer, I need photographs that are placed online to be accurate representations of my work so that future clients have a good understanding of the type of photographs that they will receive. The client agrees to be responsible for any family member or friend who posts our photographs online and agrees as well that they cannot be cropped {with the exception of forced cropping for Facebook's Timeline}, altered in color, filtered or edited in any way.

Retention of Delivered Files:
No RAW files will be given to the client, only edited JPEG files are given. Once the JPEG files are delivered to the client, it is the client's sole responsibility to protect and retain their images for the future. It is highly recommended that digital download/USB Drives be duplicated and stored in a safe location that is dry and cool. Like a Safe Deposit Box or Safe. (Technology can be fickle; one of the best ways to ensure the client's images will last for generations is for the client to print them.) If a client requires old files to be duplicated by the photographer, and they are still within the photographer's possession, a restocking fee may be applied. Files from big events are stored for up to 3 years on an external drive.
Additional digital download/USB Drives may be purchased from the photographer. The photographer will make every attempt to keep your archival copies of photos for up to 3 years. but does not guarantee that they will be retained indefinitely. Backup copies are for client use only and may not be distributed to others. Clients shall assist and cooperate with photographers in obtaining desired photographs.

Satisfaction and Accuracy:
The client agrees that the work delivered will be of a similar style and caliber to those photographs on our website and social media, and that the photographer will have complete creative control during the event and photographs in post processing. The images will be delivered in JPEG format with a mix of color and black and white images, and deemed appropriate by the photographer. No re-editing will be done after the final edited copies are presented to the client unless agreed upon by the photographer; limit of 10. The client agrees that the photographer can only capture the wedding that happens; weather, location, schedule complications, time restrictions/restraints and subjects ability to cooperate, are all factors in the quality of the photography and photographs. The photographer will not edit for physical size, hair nor any other physical appearance issues other than blemishes and slight adjustments.

Interference/Obstruction:
No Clients, wedding guests and attendants of employees of the Client may impede the photographer when she is shooting or performing her duties; failure to comply with this may result in missed moments or fewer delivered images. The responsibility of this will fall on the client to ensure all are in compliance. The private portraits with the bride and groom must remain private in addition to the photographer(s) of AllysonBrooke Photography. No other individuals of any respect may impede on this private moment unless discussed by the bride and the photographer before the moments of the event. Lighting deficiencies at venues may interfere with the photographers ability, all attempts to provide adequate lighting situations must be made by the client. This will also be discussed prior to the wedding so we can work together to make sure all is adequate. No other person(s) with cameras or professional photographers will be hired by the client or located on site photographing while the event as a whole is in progress unless approved by AllysonBrooke Photography. Family and Friends with phones/cameras, may not impede upon the photographer while working, posing and shooting the event. This includes the interference as well as the redirecting of the subjects set up for images being taken.

We recommend that the Photographer be provided with someone who knows most of the guests who will point out key individuals to be photographed.
The Photographer may also require assistance in organizing family groups.

The Schedule: My shooting schedule, style of working and experience is designed to achieve a great set of Event photos for the Clients, accomplished with good humor and enjoyed by all concerned.

If the wedding is cancelled within 30 days of the wedding, the full amount will still require payment and will be non-refundable. In the unlikely event the photographer determines that she is unable to complete the coverage due to unforeseen circumstances, all money (including the deposit) will be returned to the client.
